The mycelium network, intricately connected to tree roots, plays a vital role in nutrient distribution and resource acquisition, embodying a natural system of communal sharing. This phenomenon serves as an inspiration for the Ecology of Selves concept, which emphasizes the interdependence between individuals and ecosystems. We are part of life's complex tapestry, where diversity and balance are crucial, much like the interaction of trees within a forest, for the health of the ecosystem.
In this context, natural dyes derived from different plants are applied to organic fabric to create tie-dye patterns. Woodcut, weaving, perforations, and sewing are employed to translate the intricate language of forest communication onto the soft fabric, each stitch, and pattern echoing the interconnectedness and cooperative spirit of the natural world.
